Customer Challenge:

Customer required replacement of creosoted hardwood timber sleepers on a mainline closed decked bridge.  The bridge section is one of the busiest track sections on this network, with trains carrying 15,000 tonnes per day and reaching speeds of 150 km/h. Reduction in track closure was an important consideration.

Sicut Solution:

Sicut composite sleepers with dimensions 152mm x 254mm x 2600mm were used for this project.
