Customer Challenge:
Replacement of timber sleepers was required with alternative sleepers which are long term viable solution to timber. Trams with 12 MT axle load, and speeds of 60 km/h drive over the turnouts on a daily basis every 10 minutes.
Sicut Solution:
Sicut composite sleepers with dimensions 152mm x 254mm were used to replace the decaying hardwood sleepers. Installed in 2017, Sicut sleepers have performed to requirements dictated by the client.
