Customer Challenge:

Due to ban on use of creosote, a non-timber solution was being sought by the customer who had recently also installed low profile concrete sleepers. Customer was interested in finding a sleeper with long term predictable performance for a track which is not well maintained and regularly operates 22.5MT axle load.

Sicut Solution:

Sicut composite sleepers with dimensions 152mm x 230mm x 2600mm were installed using three spike fastening system. Pilot holes were predrilled ready for installation on site. Existing wood sleeper installation and handing equipment was used for installation.
