Sicut Composite Ties (Sleepers) have proven, again and again, to exceed all national and international performance and safety requirements for composite sleepers, both in the US and Europe. Extreme testing has included 5 million load cycles at loads of 375kN and temperatures up to 60°C, to test compliance against the needs of Deutsche Bahn, and in the US, 3 million load cycles at extreme stresses, bending moments and temperatures to test compliance with the heavy freight needs of Union Pacific. Additional independent testing to confirm compliance with European interoperability requirements and those of the US AREMA Standard, including screw pull out, compressive strength, resistance to baseplate cutting and electrical resistivity, have all been successfully completed.
Nothing, however, beats proof of performance in track. With the first ties (sleepers) installed in 1996, at the High Tonnage Loop at TTCI in Pueblo, Colorado, there is now more than 20 years and some 2 billion tonnes of successful track data now available. Sicut Composite Sleepers are also installed in 18 countries around the world from heavy freight, through mainline and metro, to light rail applications and from the UK to the Middle East; and the USA to Malaysia. Each new project adding yet more confidence to product performance in the widest range of applications and track conditions; as well as a growing list of product approvals.
Sicut Composite Ties (Sleepers) have been proven both in the lab and in track on major passenger,
Fracht- und U-Bahnlinien in 18 Ländern weltweit bewährt.
